The first, most famous, and probably most beautiful nudist beach in Asturias. A perfectly crescent-shaped stretch of white sand surrounded by green cliffs in the middle of a wild coastline.
Last visited: september 2011
From the A-8 motorway that runs along the coast, take exit 303 to Niembru. After 1 km, turn left in the town and follow the signs to Torimbia beach. It is a very narrow road that goes up to the top of the cliffs. You arrive to a parking area overlooking the beach. It can be difficult finding a place here.
A well maintained 1 km long pedestrian path descends gently and takes you down to the other end of Torimbia, or if you take a detour near the end, to the neighbour Portacos and Portaquinos beaches.

Another option is to cross Niembru to Toranda beach, where it is easier to park. From there the walk to Torimbia is longer, but flat.
The beach
Torimbia beach is 500 m long, with a very variable width. At low tide, it is more than 100m wide and joins to Portacos and Portaquinos beaches. It is an open beach, which in the northern Spanish usually means high waves. However, it is quite safe and only the right end can be dangerous sometimes.
Despite the difficult access it is one of the preferred beaches in the area of Llanes, and this causes it to become overcrowded specially on weekends.
The cliffs are an excellent take off point for paragliders, so you can frequently see them flying over the beach.

Facilities
The only nudist beach in Asturias where you can find a beach bar and the continuous presence of lifeguards.
Nudism
Starting in the 60's (when it was forbidden), Torimbia has been traditionally used by nudists. But its natural beauty also attracts lots of textile visitors, which now sometimes outnumber nudists. There is a nice coexistence and, naked or not, you can choose the part of the beach you prefer. This is not, however, the best option for those who prefer an all-nude beach.

I like:
- The feeling of total isolation, while civilization is just a few minutes away
I don't like:
- Overcrowded in summer weekends
