In the unspoiled environment of the Cies Islands, it would be unthinkable not to have a place where nudism were allowed. This beach is not as spectacular or famous as its neighbour Rodas, but maybe because of that is much quieter.
Cies Islands are an archipielago formed by three small islands on the entrance of the Vigo estuary, part of the National Park of Atlantic Islands. The most remote is San Martino, only accessible by private boats, provided you get the allowance. The two other (Faro and Monteagudo) are joined by the Rodas beach. There are several companies that link daily these islands with Vigo and Cangas. The National Park limits the number of visitors, so in summertime it is advisable to book in advance.

The beach
The most remarkable is the incredibly white sand and the calm and cristal clear water, what makes you think of the Caribbean. However, if you enter the sea, usually below 14ºC, you quickly remember you are in the Atlantic.
The beach is surrounded by the pine grove that covers a large part of the island. The path goes between the trees to the south of the beach, the wider section. On the other end, we find a very secluded cove after a rocky promontory.

Facilities
There is only a bar and a shop in the campsite located on Faro island, quite far from Figueiras.
Nudism
Is more a clothes-optional than a nude beach, but nudism is normal in the north half. There is a peaceful coexistence between nudists and textiles.
