Follow the instructions to get to the Papagayo beaches. After the park entrance, take the detour on your left before arriving to Papagayo. The huge parking lot is at sea level, separated from the beach by the campsite.
Not very long nor wide, specially on both ends. On the left, there are large rocks that divide the beach. They are also into the water, so swimming here is difficult. Much easier in the center and the rigth side. The rocks on that part can be walked over to go to Caleta del Congrio. Anyway, the rocks and the waves (this beach faces east, not south), make this beach not the best option for a dip.
Services
The bar on top of Papagayo beach, and also a bar, showers and toilets in the campsite, in case you find it open.
Nudism
Like in the rest of these beaches, nudism is an option. In Puerto Muelas the north end is almost exclusively nudist, the center is overwhelmingly textile, and in the south end everybody is mixed. This is not an estrict division. You can bathe in the nude in the center, walk along the shore with or without clothes... Easy coexistance.
I like:
- Very easy to go by car.
 I don't like:
I don't like:- The huge paved surface so close to the beach. In my opinion, the worst view in the whole Papagayo area.
- Too far to go on foot from the town of Playa Blanca.
