The secret jewel of the nudist beaches in Llanes. Without the poularity of the neighbour Torimbia beach, but with the same golden sand and crystal clear water, not many people enjoy the calm of this wonderful spot in the Asturian coast.

This beach is not so easy to find if you don't know the way. First, you have to arrive to Niembru, a village near Llanes. From the A-8 motorway, take the exit 303 towards Posada/Barro/Niembro and follow the road LLN-11. Aproximately 1 km ahead, turn left into the village following the signs to Toranda beach. Streets are very narrow, so you will have to drive carefully. The road finishes into a large car park right in front of this textile beach.
You have to walk 300 m from there following a not very well marked path on your left, with the shoreline on your right. You will shortly see Valles beach, but the way down is somewhat hidden by the vegetation. There are some steps on the rocks to help you going down to the beach, but they are slippery. A rope tied there as a handrail is very useful, specially in the way up.

The beach
It is extraordinary beautiful. Less than 200 m long, and 40 m wide. Just a few boulders in the middle of the beach contrast with the white sand. It is very flat, even into the water, so you have to walk before you can swim.
The beach is backed by low cliffs (only 5-10 m high) that fall vertically, but since the beach is oriented to the east, the sun dissapears in the afternoon.
It is located in a rural area, where the only building in sight is a ruined house next to Sovalles beach. Apart from it, only meadows and woods.

Facilities
Of course, nothing at Valles beach, but during summer you can find an ice cream van at Toranda beach.
Nudism
Remote and not easily accessible, nudists are the main users of this beach. In my last visit, everybody but a woman were naked.
