Just a few metres from Monsul beach, with the same clear water and the same gray sand, but much less crowded. The scenery may not be as impresive as in other coves in Cabo de Gata, but this is one of the best options when you don't feel like walking through stony paths.
How to get there
You have to follow the unpaved road from San Jose to the parking lot for Monsul beach. Right in front of the parking you can see the hill that separates Monsul and Media Luna beaches. Take the path on your right to this last beach. It is only 500m away.
The beach
The beach and the cliffs on both sides create a perfect "Media Luna" (Spanish for crescent) around 200 m long. It is quite wide and the coarse grey sand continues inland, where some plants appears. The water, calm and clear, makes of this a perfect spot for diving.

Facilities
There is only a restaurant along the road (not in the beach). All the beaches in the area are more or less virgin and so you can not find any facilities there.
Nudism
As in the rest of the beaches in Cabo de Gata, nude sunbathing is perfectly accepted. While in Monsul the ratio is clearly dominated by textiles, here we have the opposite situation, with most people naked all over the beach, but specially in the right end.

- El Barronal
- Cala Chica
- Cala Grande

I like:
- Easy access by car
- Crystal-clear water
I don't like:
- Not a shade in the beach
